Introduction
Asphyre eXtreme is the most popular and widely used framework for developing 2D/3D games and visual applications. In addition to its core components, Asphyre eXtreme has a wide range of additions posted by community members.
Asphyre eXtreme, being the most stable release in Asphyre series, is a proven and mature framework. Although the development is focused on newer releases, the technical support will still be provided for Asphyre eXtreme on our forums.
The successor to Asphyre eXtreme in terms of 2D support is Asphyre Casual Framework, which uses DirectX 7.0 for major compatibility with existing hardware. For advanced 3D support using shader technology, Asphyre 4.1 is a powerful variant.
