Some time ago we have been notified that some users were unable to access the forums from their home machines. The web page would give a message saying that their IP address has been blacklisted.
This appears to be a new security measure that our hosting provider has implemented to reduce the amount of spambots that flood the forums with spam garbage.
Although we tried to convince the hosting service staff to disable or weaken this security measure, we were answered the following:

If visitors are listed on the XBL, then their computer or someone from the IP address they are coming from is spamming or doing something which listed them there in the first place. It could also be some type of virus or bot which is affecting them. If people have previously been listed, but are no longer, then us removing the IP from the blacklist should give the address time to clear up and it shouldn't become listed again. However, we do need the IP addresses in order to remove them from the blacklist. Again we apologize for the inconvenience.

We decided to wait for about a week to see if the security measure made by our hosting service is doing any good to the forums (as you may have noticed, the spawn bots assisted by humans are quite common these days) and if not, we will be use any measures to resolve the issue or move to another host.
If you cannot access the web site because your address has been blacklisted, please use a Proxy Server to countermeasure the restriction until the issue is resolved.
We are sorry for the inconveniences caused by this even though the responsible for the problems is our hosting service provider.
