Fluffy Shooter - 23-Feb-2008, 14:48

This is first game I ever finish.. except Tertis of course

It started like another game-like demo for upcoming AsphyreNURBS but ended up nice looking game.

It's something like "railway-shooter with slow motion feature". There are 1 level and 2 enemies which I think enough for about 5-15 minutes of gameplay )
unless you get hooked and start compete with Score )

Game presented for GameDev.ru/KRI experimental gamedesign competition.. though I dont think it quite experimental but i think game is solid and ok

Any reports, suggestions, corrections and playtime / highscore achievements (if any) are welcome

Yes, it's done with Asphyre Casual.
No, my real name is not Lusiola Celeste it's rather pseudonym for now

Thanks! Its realy more about peculiar feeling.
Game initially designed around that feeling )
I guess is because of music and the visual/sound effect of how they explode )

I agree to the above.

Very unique looking game. The graphics remind me on a Playstation 3 game called Flow.

FlOw video

Keep it on and try to sell it when its ready. You know, the FlOw game sells well on Playstation Network, so why should yours not?

Yes, at start up it loads resources. But at my PC it takes less then a second.. hm. I probably should put some "Loading" sign... thanks ) ... but i dont know at the moment how to make Asphyre Casual load single image from file

No, I dont use XParticles. It's just ParticleSprite explosion with fade from Asphyre SpriteEngine. Thanks DraculaLin for SpriteEngine once again! )
I wouldn't have done a single thing without it since I'm really rookie at programming.
About code sharing. I think I'll post code from earlier version some day but certainly not now, sorry ) Anyway there is nothing much to post. Code is clumsy and not very well written. Though it may be useful for novices.

FlOw! Very beautiful game! Really love it! )
Graphics is no doubt kind of deviation from it: blue back with bright glowing things on it! Another inspiring game is Geometry Wars which is similar game "without art" )
But they got style and perfectly polished gameplay!
As for Fluffy Shooter I dont have plans on selling it. There is nothing much to sell ) Of course game can be extended: more fluffy things, more weapons, more features, different levels etc.
But I still can't see anything people will pay for )) I'll think about it but I dont consider this game as sellable at the point ) it is not that good designed. It's just small nice game )

This game isn't a casual, therefore it's hard to sell on PC.

shooter games generally dont sell for casual games, the top selling style are hidden objects and puzzle games.
