Does anyone know if it's possible to tile 1 sprite?
At current I have a background which I have to tile and this creates 64 sprites. I would like to do tiling via DirectX itself since it will minimize my code and add performance.

I am not quite sure your question, you can create 64 sprites on screen...

The new version of sprite engine has a new class name "TTileMapSprite",it contains this feature(property Tile, maybe this is you want).
But i'm no plan when to release it.
It use different inheritance structure i need rewrite all demos, and since Asphyre eXtreme 4 will release soon so i don't want to rewrite sprite engine and all demos again.

This might seem strange, but can I use the Newton physics engine with this? I'd like to create a "Scorched Earth" type of game and use Newton for the ballistic trajectories, etc. (2D stuff, NOT 3D)

Also, any idea if Asphyre and/or your sprite engine are "networkable"? Meaning, can I use it along with a network library to have a real-time network game? (eg. several players moving around, etc, etc...)

Everything is possible with Asphyre and Sprite engine, should you be capable of creating such an application. The Indy.Sockets library is your best bet for networked/multiplayer games.

Use SpriteEngine2006Apr(in Action folder) AsphyreSprite.pas instead of old.

Please, post any questions about Sprite Engine in Asphyre General forum. In order to avoid this thread growing indefinitely, I'm going to close it.

cmQuadrangle - 08-Sep-2009, 20:18

Hi
please, tell me, somebody has a working example with collision method "cmQuadrangle"?
I try to realise it, collisions detection is works not correctly (Collisions occur, but is very rarely), "CollideQuadrangle" is define correctly.
